We were told a pop video was going to be filmed on Leeland Road, W13 where our employment training project is located. The street has been used for filming before so our trainees were really excited.

On the day of the filming, we found out that it was singer and songwriter Griff, making the video for One Night. Trainees were ecstatic and explained to me and my colleague that she won Rising Star at the 2021 Brit Awards.

We watched the video being made and asked if it was possible for Griff to pop in to say hi to us all. The location manager arranged it and Griff stepped into Dare to Dream to the sound of her own music playing on our big screen.

Trainees were beside themselves with excitement. Griff was fantastic! So approachable, and made our star struck group feel very relaxed by her friendly and warm nature. She offered to do selfies with those who wished and chatted and laughed with the group for some time.

They all went home with huge smiles and very happy indeed!!!
