Provided by the Department for Work and Pensions, the household support fund gives those who qualify, help towards food and essential items using supermarket vouchers provided by Ealing Council partners Blackhawk.
If you are eligible, you do not need to apply for the vouchers. Eligible families will receive either an email or letter from Blackhawk with a 16-digit, personalised code and instructions to redeem the vouchers via the Blackhawk website: ealingcouncil.select-your-reward.co.uk). Be assured, this is a safe website and Blackhawk are a trusted partner of Ealing Council.
Families
Families eligible for benefits related free school meals, based on low income, will get supermarket vouchers:
- February 2023 – £25 per child
- March 2023 – £35 per child
Or
Families with children under the age of five, who get housing benefit and/or council tax reduction:
- February 2023 – £25 per household
- March 2023 – £35 per household
Care leavers
Ealing care leavers will get supermarket vouchers.
- February 2023 – £25 per care leaver
- March 2023 – £35 per care leaver
Other households
Extra local welfare assistance funding has been made available, for households who do not fit into any of the three groups listed above. You will need to apply for this help. If you are facing financial hardship, apply for local welfare assistance.
