The Peer Advocacy Project works with people who find it hard to take part in speaking up or self-advocacy groups - such as the people who use the Short Break Service and Special Care. It supports people to use self advocacy and peer advocacy.

The peer advocacy project support self-advocacy groups (speaking up groups) for people living in supported living.
The peer advocacy project also supports Peer Advocates to carry out ‘checking up visits’ using the REACH standards.
*The REACH standards are a way of checking that people living in supported living are happy with the support they are getting, and help them speak up about it if they are not happy*
