Ealing Mencap have just applied to Natwest Community Force - an initiative that is empowering local projects and charities to raise awareness of their work and to make their plans a reality with the help of the local community and Natwest.

Ealing Mencap have the chance to win a £6,000 grant from Natwest for the Step Volunteering Project.  This project will support people with a learning disability to make a genuine contribution to their local community. They team up with someone who does not have a learning disability. and work together as a team to offer help to vulnerable elderly people in their home, such as gardening or cleaning;  services which social services are often unable or unwilling to provide.
