We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our casual bank. We are building a varied and diverse casual bank of all ages and levels of experience. So whether you have just left school, recently retired, or anywhere in between then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Our casual bank may be called upon to support and enable service users to do anything from taking a trip down to the shops, having weekend away in Brighton, to supporting with personal care.

Ealing Mencap has many projects which provide a wide range of different services. Any of these projects may need extra support from our casual bank on any given day. This means that it's very likely that no two days will ever be the same.

You'll need to be flexible, reliable and committed too. And of course, a real sense of fun will prove invaluable. In return we offer uniquely rewarding work and any necessary training that is required will be provided. Experience is not essential however the following qualities are:

  • Values
  • Motivation
  • Enthusiasm
  • Commitment
  • Flexibility
  • Communication Skills
  • A positive attitude
  • The ability to enable people with a learning disability to make their own choice.
Work is on an ‘as-and-when’ basis with no guaranteed hours. Depending on your availability you may be asked to work days, evenings, weekends and possibly overnights.

This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who has a few hours on their hands, and wants to earn money whilst helping to improve the lives of people with disabilities. This is a fun and varied position which will be hugely rewarding, as well as proving great experience for people with an interest in social care.

We will require a full enhanced CRB disclosure which will be funded by Mencap.
